WhatsApp has just launched a Business app for android with some great features. It was built with the small business owner in mind. With the app, businesses can interact with customers easily by using tools to automate, sort, and quickly respond to messages.

Now you merchants can create a business profile with helpful information for your customers like your address, business description, email address, and your Shopify store website.

Automation

With the new automation feature, you can finally set an away message when you are unable to answer so your customers know when to expect a response. You can also create a greeting message to introduce your customers to your business.

Another great one is Quick replies. This feature let you save and reuse messages you frequently send so you can easily answer common questions in no time.

Statistics

This is a must have feature, now you can have access to important metrics such as how many of your messages were successfully sent, delivered, and read.

Availability

WhatsApp Business app is currently available in Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the UK, and the US. It’s free and are only avaiable for Android users.

Integrations

I don’t found any information about integrations with third parties. I think that it will not take long to see an integration between Whatsapp Business app and Shopify.
